Sam and Claire are AI.
They're not real people. We don't pretend they are. If you ask, they'll tell you. We think there's still something valuable in talking to them — millions of people already talk to AI. We're just trying to do it in a format that feels less like a chatbot and more like a phone call from someone who's paying attention.
This isn't therapy.
CallByrd is for the everyday stuff — venting about your week, thinking through a decision, having someone to talk to when you don't want to bother a real person. If you're in crisis, please call 988. They'll tell you the same thing if it ever comes to that.
We don't sell your data.
Your call transcripts and account information are yours. We don't sell them, share them, or train models on them. We're a small team. We're not playing the data game.
We're early.
CallByrd is new. Sometimes things will work imperfectly — the line might cut, the conversation might not land. If something doesn't feel right, tell us. We answer every email.
We want you to talk to real people too.
The point of CallByrd isn't to replace your relationships. It's to give you a place to talk when calling a real person is too much, or when you just need to hear yourself think out loud. If you find yourself preferring CallByrd to your actual friends, that's a sign to call your actual friends.
